Scary Super Bowl

Arroyo GrandeFebruary 11, 2014

I’m an old woman, former athlete and not interested in spectator sports. I prefer playing ping pong to watching TV. Yet I’ve long thought that football, as an outlet for testosterone, was preferable to combat in wars.

Nevertheless, I watched the Super Bowl game barely knowing which team had the ball. However, I did know about Seattle’s fans making extreme noise to rattle visiting teams, and I’d heard about Pete Carroll’s destruction of USC’s team before he moved to the Seattle Seahawks.

The testosterone outlet I had accepted as a preferable choice now feels downright scary.
