Letter to the Editor

Helping children

Assistance League presidentFebruary 11, 2014

On behalf of the members of Assistance League and the children we are able to help who live and go to schools in the County, we are deeply grateful to Central Coast Funds for Children for their recent grant.

Their generous support will enable Assistance League, through its primary philanthropic program Operation School Bell and subprogram Sue’s Stars, to provide new school-appropriate clothing to children in need. Since the start of the 2013-14 school year, Assistance League has provided new school wardrobes to more than 1,500 students in K-8. This would not be possible without ongoing support from the community, including loyal donors such as Central Coast Funds for Children. Together we make a significant difference in the lives and futures of our local children.

We salute the members of Central Coast Funds for Children, and thank them for the confidence they demonstrate in Assistance League’s programs with their gift of $2,500. Together our organizations are dedicated to helping those less fortunate achieve a better, more meaningful life here in our county. It is an honor to be able to extend wholehearted appreciation on behalf of Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County.
