Prep Roundup: Mission Prep basketball teams roll to victories

Quinton Adlesh hit two 3-pointers on his way to 13 points to lead a balanced offensive attack to lift Mission Prep’s boys basketball team to a 74-53 home win over Immanuel on Saturday.

Kerney Lane had 11 points, and Kyle Stewart scored 10 for Mission Prep (20-4).


Mission Prep 43, Central Valley Christian 33

Tess Boehm had 10 points for the Royals (13-8) as they were able to pull away in the fourth quarter, using an 18-9 margin to seal the win. Noelle Laird had eight points for Mission Prep.


Arroyo Grande 11, Carlsbad 5; Cathedral Catholic 7, Arroyo Grande 3

The Eagles (16-7) finished 2-3 and came in 22nd out of 32 teams at the Southern California Championships in Corona Del Mar.

Against Carlsbad, Arroyo Grande’s Rebekah Hernandez, Melanie Popovich and Isabella Manuele all had three goals, and Alana Benson had nine saves.

Against Central Catholic, Brooklyn Vander Veen, Popovich, and Jordyn Dickens each had one goal. Benson had five saves, and Kayla Mankins had four.
