Sierra Vista, Twin Cities hospitals put patient records online

newsroom@thetribunenews.comFebruary 7, 2014

Patients at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton now have the option to access their medical records online.

The two hospitals have created a secure portal on their websites that allows patients to view and download their records and transmit medical information directly to their physicians, according to a news release.

Patients must enroll in the My Health Rec program to access their medical information, including lab results, from the hospitals’ websites. The program currently is available only to inpatients; parents can enroll their minor children and access their accounts.

Patients establish a My Health Rec account when they are admitted to the hospital and can access the portal by visiting www.sierravistaregional.com or www.twincitieshospital.com and clicking on My Health Rec.
