San Luis Coastal, PTA to host talk on new education standards

The San Luis Coastal Unified School District and the District 24 PTA are hosting a free panel discussion on Feb. 13 to discuss the Common Core State Standards.

The program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Multipurpose Room (J2), 1500 Lizzie St., in San Luis Obispo.

Speakers from State PTA, District 24 PTA and the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees will present information on the changes in public education and what it means locally. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions.
