Authorities are searching the Port San Luis area for a missing Nipomo woman who is believed to be suicidal.

Maria de la Cruz Albarran Uribe was reported missing Thursday evening and her car was found Friday at Harford Pier in Port San Luis, said Sgt. David Nottenkamper with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, searchers with the sheriff’s department, the Port San Luis Harbor Patrol and the CHP were conducting a ground and air search of the area and handing out fliers in Avila Beach with the woman’s photo, Nottenkamper said.

The missing woman is described as 41 years old, Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 781-4550.
