Crocker’s retirement

Arroyo GrandeJanuary 31, 2014

Having been employed from 1951 to 1990 as a teacher, a principal, a district administrator and finally as a county assistant superintendent for San Mateo County Schools, I have read with interest the statements and writings of Julian Crocker, our county superintendent of schools.

I have lived in this county for 10 years, and have been impressed with his genuine concern about the educational needs of all students in this county’s school districts . He has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the purpose of the County Office of Education as it relates to the county’s school districts.

With his pending retirement, we will lose the services of a caring and knowledgeable chief administrator.
