The deadline to submit public comment as part of the environmental impact report for Cal Poly’s proposed dorm project is Friday.

The project — envisioned for the Grand Avenue entrance — will be decided by the California State University board of trustees in May.

It consists of approximately 1,475 beds in seven four- to five-story structures along with parking of 300 to 500 spaces on about 12 acres.

Comments may be submitted by email to Nicole Carter at ncarter@swca.com.

For more information about the project, call Joel Neel, Cal Poly’s project director at 756-2193 or visit http://afd.calpoly.edu/facilities/facp_index.asp.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
