Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant

I read the Jan. 12 insert regarding Diablo Canyon with great interest. DCPP is indeed an important resource in our midst. I have read past articles on the corporate challenges PG&E faces regarding its decision to pursue re-licensing by 2025. That backstory calls into question how much longer this county can rely on DCPP’s important contributions.

I would appreciate The Tribune continuing its investigative reporting into PG&E’s deliberations regarding relicensing this plant; DCPP is too big an economic force to keep citizens in the dark regarding these deliberations because some people would like to see nuclear power plants shut down. Thank you.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
