Coast Union conquers Coastal Christian

The Coast Union girls basketball team moved into second place in the Coast Valley League thanks to a 53-40 win over Coastal Christian Conquerors Friday, Jan. 11. Sophomore Reagan Kniffen and freshman Ahtziri Mora each tallied 15 points for Coast Union.

The win gave the Lady Broncos a 2-1 league record, one game behind first place Valley Christian Academy (3-0) and a game ahead of Cuyama Valley (1-1) in this early stretch of the season.

The key to this game was Coast Union scoring 19 points to the Conquerors’ 8 points in the third quarter.

Coast Union played Orcutt Academy Tuesday, Jan. 14. Results were unavailable at press time.
