Alfano Motorcars Inc., a Mercedes-Benz and Chevrolet dealership at 1423 Calle Joaquin in San Luis Obispo, is renovating its Mercedes showroom to better fit with the brand’s image, says owner Charlie Alfano.

“It’ll be state-of-the-art for the clients,” Alfano said. “That’s commensurate with the Mercedes-Benz image.”

Alfano, who also owns Alfano Chevrolet in the same location, said the new showroom will feature several technology upgrades, including free Wi-Fi and laptop hookups for guests.

Corporate Mercedes-Benz USA is in charge of the redesign, as part of its effort to create a more unified look among the company’s more than 350 dealerships, Alfano said.

The project is expected to be completed within 45 days, Alfano said.
