San Luis Obispo-based information technology company TekTegrity recently announced it has acquired fellow local IT company Digital Foundation Inc.

The Digital Foundation leadership team, including president Joshua Erdman and vice president Travis Hasson, will join TekTegrity founders Russ Levanway and Jeremy Koellish at the company, they announced in a news release.

“Combining our resources and experience will allow us to keep up with industry advancements and develop technology tools to better serve our clients,” Levanway said in the release. “This move is strategic for both parties, because it provides greater value and benefits for all of our clients.”

The deal will increase TekTegrity’s staff to 42 employees.

The details of the deal were not released.

Digital Foundation has provided IT services in San Luis Obispo County since 2003, according to a TekTegrity news release. TekTegrity has been a fixture on the Central Coast since 2005.

Tektegrity, one of Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing private companies in 2013, has a history of acquiring local companies.

In November 2010, the company announced it had acquired Sentinel Network Systems of San Luis Obispo.

Later in 2010, it also acquired local content management and workflow software product company LiveFile and began talks to join with a Fresno-based IT support business, Integrated Advantage.

Integrated Advantage and TekTegrity merged in June 2011, under the TekTegrity name.

TekTegrity has offices in San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Fresno, Stanislaus and Kern counties. It serves approximately 250 businesses statewide.
