Cal Fire rescues cliff climber in Shell Beach

Cal Fire rescue crews responded to a call at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday of a person stuck on a beachside cliff in Shell Beach.

Three engines responded and determined that the person wasn't injured but needed help getting back up the cliff at the west end of Leeward Avenue, Cal Fire Capt. Brent Lee said.

"The person was not in any distress but was just stuck, not able to get up or down," Lee said. Rescuers used a rope to get down to the person, attach a harness and pull the person back up the cliff, he said.

No other information was immediately available.
