Even if I agree that Peter OToole was equal in acting skill to Joan Fontaine, the fact is The Tribune gave OToole 10 times as much ink as Fontaine. She also starred in iconic films such as Rebecca, Suspicion and many others during a career that spanned over 50 years. Perhaps it was she who helped launch Hitchcocks success.
In any case, you fail to address why The Tribune didnt provide equal coverage of these two celebrated actors when they both died on the same day. I continue to believe the reason for this is gender bias.
