Volleyball fundraiser coming up

Special to The CambrianJanuary 2, 2014

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Coast Union’s longtime volleyball coach Pam Kenyon is set for Wednesday, Jan.15, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St.

The dinner — from 4-7 p.m. — is designed to help defray medical costs Kenyon faces as she battles colon cancer. The dinner is $10 and includes spaghetti, salad and garlic bread.

Local singer-songwriter Jill Knight will provide entertainment.

“We can’t fight this for her, but if we all work together, we can help alleviate stress and some financial burdens so she can focus on getting better,” said one of the fundraiser’s organizers, Shannon Jackson, Coast Union’s librarian.

For more details, call Jackson at 886-7248.
