Plots of up to two acres are now available for lease in San Luis Obispo’s City Farm.

Managed by the group Central Coast Grown, the 20-acre City Farm is available to individuals and organizations interested in experimental or educational food production. The request for proposals is open through Feb. 16.

Nicola Allegretta of Mama’s Meatballs has leased 16 of the 20 acres, but the remaining four acres are available. The City Farm is located on Calle Joaquin off Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo.

“Central Coast Grown encourages applicants to apply who are excited about becoming part of the thriving local food and farming culture in the heart of San Luis Obispo,” said Jenna Smith, the group’s executive director.
