Pewter Plough: A New Year’s Eve trip to Texas, then music through the decades

Celebrate the end of the year with the comedy "A Tuna Christmas" at Pewter Plough Playhouse’s season wrap-up Tuesday, Dec. 31, that features a full evening of entertainment.

The play — featuring quick-changing actors Jeff Walters and Jonathan Shadrach who remarkably portray the entire cast of 22 eccentric characters from Tuna, Texas — starts at 8, followed by live cabaret music with Sunny Wright and Dave Manion, plus a supper buffet, desserts, bottomless Opolo champagne and party surprises.

Wright and Manion will perform some of the greatest hits from the 1940s through ’70s. Tickets are $130.

Regular performances of “Tuna Christmas” begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27 and 28, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29. Tickets to those shows are $15 for Friday and $18 to $20 for Saturday and Sunday.
