17 arrested on DUI charges in SLO last weekend

dsneed@thetribunenews.comDecember 17, 2013

Seventeen drivers in San Luis Obispo were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol over the weekend.

The arrests were made by six county law enforcement agencies participating in a winter holiday anti-DUI crackdown. A similar crackdown conducted during the same three-day period in 2012 resulted in 21 DUI arrests.

During both years, there were no DUI-related injuries or fatalities during the period.

As part of the continuing effort, extra DUI saturation patrols are scheduled for San Luis Obispo and Grover Beach.
