About 350 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers in San Luis Obispo lost power Monday night due to a car crash on Buckley Road near Vachell Lane.

The outage, which occurred at 5:44 p.m., initially impacted 353 customers, according to PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris. Power had been restored all but 20 customers as of 8:22 p.m., she said.

Morris said a repair crew had been dispatched to the scene. She estimated it would take crews about eight hours to restore power completely by replacing one pole, two transformers and "a significant amount of cable."

Local television station KSBY reported Monday night that the collision involved two cars and a motorcycle and resulted in one fatality.
