Salvation Army ban

Morro BayDecember 15, 2013

The recent news of the ban on our Salvation Army bell ringers in the malls, located in Arroyo Grande and Paso Robles, has left me shocked and disgusted. I will most certainly boycott those two locations when doing my shopping for Christmas.

The Salvation Army is the only organization to which I will willingly donate my dollars. I welcome the red kettles and the smiling folks who give their time ringing the bells.

My message to these people who imposed this ban is “wake up and smell the holly.”

While we hear news of people whose benefits are being cut, the Salvation Army is faced with losing 60 percent of its revenue by its presence being denied in these busy malls.

Shame on you people. Bah humbug.
