Cuesta athletes are honored by Western State Conference

The Cuesta College women’s soccer team had five players named to the all-Western State Conference teams that were released Wednesday.

Allison French was named to the first team after leading the Cougars (4-14-1, 2-9-1) in scoring with five goals. Tanya Khaledi and Serena Hughes were named to the second team. Khaledi scored five goals, and Hughes had two goals and three assists.

Goalie Julia Poladian and defender Sabrina Rice were honorable mentions.

The Cuesta men’s cross country team had all seven runners named to an all-conference team. Chris Goode, Alex Hascall, Rocky Peterson and Joshua Davis were named to the second team. Chris Pavlakovich, Noah Yoshida and Nick Landy were honorable mention selections.

Maggie Phillips was named to the women’s cross country first team. Samantha Phillips was named to the second team, and Aly Voth and Lauren Silacci were honorable mention selections.
