I woke up this morning filled with the Christmas spirit. Ready to do the Christmas cards, bake some cookies and deck the halls. Well, that lasted until I opened the paper — there, right on the first page, was the head and antlers of what had been a beautiful deer ... with a stupid Santa Claus hat plopped on his head.

This is supposed to spread joy? Not to this Bambi-lover. What fun do hunter-killers get from going out with their boozing pals and shooting at a beautiful animal? I doubt that there are any sharpshooters among these guys, so the animals are probably not brought down by the first shot, which means they are injured and in anguish. Lot of laughs, huh.

If I read what kind of kicks they like, why not plan some fun-filled afternoons at a local slaughterhouse?
