Morro Bay holiday boat parade postponed due to wind forecast

The Morro Bay Lighted Boat Parade, planned for Saturday night, has been postponed a week because of expected high winds. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14. Organizers say that gusting winds of up to 40 mph and steady winds up to 25 mph are anticipated Saturday, making conditions unsafe for boaters.

The Morro Bay tree lighting celebration is still planned for 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the city park.
