An Oceano man was taken into custody after San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots being fired in the Pismo Sands RV Park in Oceano on Thursday night.

Deputies responded to the call about 7 p.m. When they arrived at the RV park, the suspect barricaded himself inside his father’s mobile home, said Tony Cipolla, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were able to make contact with the suspect and eventually persuaded him to surrender about 9:30 p.m., Cipolla said.

Dennis Ray Barnes, 43, was taken into custody and is in violation of parole, Cipolla said. No one was injured in the incident.
