Cast members of the locally filmed sports comedy “Little Giants” will be on hand Saturday for a special screening in Arroyo Grande.

Todd Bosley, Marcus Toji and Shawna Waldron will share their memories of making the 1994 movie at the event, joined by associate producer/production manager D. Scott Easton.

Saturday’s screening is part of the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival’s “SLO County on the Silver Screen” series, which showcases movies shot in San Luis Obispo County.

Filmed primarily in Arroyo Grande, “Little Giants” tells the story of two brothers who form competing Peewee football teams.

When former college football star Kevin O’Shea (Ed O’Neil) rejects his niece Becky (Waldron) during team tryouts, she and her friends, including Jake (Bosley) and Marcus (Toji), turn to his brother, Danny (Rick Moranis), to coach them.

The PG-rated movie includes cameos by former pro football standouts Tim Brown, Emmett Smith and John Madden, a former Cal Poly player turned Super Bowl-winning head coach and sports commentator.

“Little Giants” starts at noon Saturday at the Fair Oaks Theatre, 1007 Grand Ave. Arroyo Grande, Admission is $10 or $8 for students and film festival society members; event-goers who wear football jerseys can get in for $5 apiece.
