A Paso Robles agricultural group is holding a second open house to discuss its plans to form a groundwater management district.

The Paso Robles Agricultural Alliance for Groundwater Solutions, or PRAAGS, will hold an open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Estrella Warbirds Museum, 4251 Dry Creek Road in Paso Robles.

During the event, members of the group will give a brief presentation about the county’s emergency groundwater ordinance and discuss plans to form a California water district.

The group is calling the effort the Paso Robles Fair Water Initiative. Its goals are to establish a water management district and bring supplemental water into the area.

The first open house was Nov. 13 and was attended by more than 250 people, organizers say.
