The San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District is collecting donations this holiday season for kids attending local Boys & Girls Clubs in SLO County.

Each year, the agency chooses a nonprofit organization and pulls together resources to assist those in need. This year, the air pollution control district is seeking donations to meet the out-of-school needs of children in elementary through high school in all areas of the county, according to an agency press release.

A donation box is located in the agency’s office lobby; donations will be delivered to the clubs the week before Christmas.

Examples of items that could be donated include: sidewalk chalk, pencil sharpeners, cooking supplies, horse shoes, Playstation 3 games, bift cards for office supplies, glue sticks, pens/pencils/markers, sports equipment, other art supplies.

The SLO County Air Pollution Control District office is at 3433 Roberto Court in San Luis Obispo. The office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
