The San Miguel Electric Christmas Light Parade and Craft Faire will be held on Mission Street on Dec. 21.
The Craft Fair, featuring an array of handmade and one-of-a-kind gifts, opens at 2 p.m. Following the parade, Santa will greet children at the San Miguel Fire Department. Events include a chili cook-off at 4 p.m. at the Coffee Station and a decorated cupcake contest from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Country Diner. Children are creating snowmen, which will be placed outside the businesses at the beginning of the week to be judged with donations of non-perishable food for the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.

Potluck at Senior Center
San Miguel Seniors will have their Christmas Potluck on Dec. 12 from 6 p.m. at the Senior Center on East 12th Street. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish to share and enjoy the camaraderie. The last bingo of this year will be on Dec. 13, starting at 6 p.m., which will be a lucky day for those who win!
Fundraiser for Philippines
The Filipino-American Association North County (FAANC) will hold its annual Christmas Party on Dec. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy, 1900 Golden Hill Road in Paso Robles. Dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. Donations are $25 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The event is a fundraiser to send more aid to the survivors of recent disasters in the Philippines, including Typhoon Haiyan and the October earthquake in Bohol.
