Backward plan

San Luis ObispoNovember 27, 2013

We should all join the Sierra Club in expressing their concern about plans by San Diego Gas and Electric to replace the closed San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station with new, huge, polluting, dirty gas plants. Talk about going backward.

There has been no lack of power to warrant these plants. We have to say “no” to spending a long time and $1.5 billion on an unnecessary, harmful project when it would be so much easier and more wonderful to plug into clean energy. California has a chance to choose this opportunity to lead on climate and clean energy.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
