Arroyo Grande man killed in Pasadena auto wreck

November 25, 2013

An Arroyo Grande man was killed in a Pasadena-area accident on Interstate 210 on Thursday, CHP officials say.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s department confirmed Gerald Hall, 58, of Arroyo Grande was driving a 2013 Volvo tractor truck at about midnight when he hit a concrete pillar along the roadway.

Five cars collided with the big-rig’s trailer, which blocked all the lanes, CHP officials said.

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
