San Luis Obispo County saw less than an inch of rain during a spell of scattered showers Wednesday and Thursday.

By Thursday afternoon, skies were clearing across the beaches but the possibility of inland thunderstorms across the area was still possible, according to John Lindsey, meteorologist for PG&E.

Sunny skies are expected Friday and Saturday as offshore winds produce mostly clear and dry weather with “relatively mild temperatures” and a chance of fog later in the week, according to Lindsey’s report.

Looking ahead, while families gather around the dinner table, Thanksgiving Day is expected to bring chilly temperatures and rain.

The forecast for Thursday and Friday of next week indicates southerly winds and rain should develop over the county with total rainfall amounts expected to range between 0.50 and 1.25 inches.
