PG&E gives $10K to Goodwill program

Goodwill Industries received a $10,000 donation Wednesday from PG&E for a job skills program in San Luis Obispo.

The donation was given to Goodwill’s Shoreline Workforce Development Services and will be used to conduct a series of free classes on computer and other skills for job seekers , according to PG&E spokesman Blair Jones.

Shoreline is the education, training and employment division of Goodwill Industries and offers services to assist people with barriers to employment or who are at a disadvantage because of changes in the in the labor market, job losses and other conditions.

Last year, the program served more than 12,000 people in San Luis Obispo, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
