Nuclear storage

CayucosNovember 20, 2013

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is the government agency regulating the nuclear power industry and wants to allow the storage of radioactive waste on site at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant for 300 years.

PG&E CEOs and stockholders with subsidies and perks reap high profits for the power generated here now. The 15 generations that follow us must face the enormous cost and safety risks that will accompany existing and future storage of the waste. I don’t want to push this heavy burden onto my grandchildren and their heirs.

A critical NRC waste conference is occurring today in San Luis Obispo, where members of the public can voice their concerns .

There are thousands of children living in this county and millions unborn whose lives will be affected by decisions made now. Please bring photos of children you love and speak to the commissioners for the NRC, aka the Not Really Concerned.
