Growing up as a kid, my mother told me that anybody could become president of the United States, but only if one always tells the truth. She used the example of a young George Washington, the person who was to become our first president and the father of our country, who told his father, I cannot tell a lie. I chopped down that cherry tree. I believed her.
Fast-forward some 250 years later to President Bill I-did-not-have-sex-with-that-woman Clinton and President Barack If-you-like-your-health-insuranceplan-you-can-keep-it-period Obama. My, how times have changed. Prevarication has now become the norm. But what does it say to our children the future leaders of our country? It cant be good.
