Letter to the Editor

Practice civility

AtascaderoNovember 18, 2013

In response to Mark Salwasser’s letter of Nov. 12: We all serve some belief. He seems to maintain that he has no belief. His belief may not be the same as mine, but that doesn’t equal no belief.

As far as being un-American, America was founded on the freedom of beliefs. These days, most of us are irritated by something contrary to our values, but sometimes that simply means that we are quiet and respectful. And really, does standing quietly through a prayer harm you?

We could all practice more understanding and civility.
