Closed plant uses

Morro BayNovember 17, 2013

The closing of the Morro Bay power plant starts the debate of what replacement will yield an equivalent tax base. I hope that among the options considered will be to follow the lead of Monterey and repurpose the facility as an aquarium, research facility and event center.

I know that demolition of the three towers could be extremely expensive, so I would investigate the feasibility of putting an internal spiral staircase and/or elevator in each tower and also connecting the towers with an observation walkway.
