A day of greed

Los OsosNovember 14, 2013

We veterans appreciate being told “thank you for your service.” It is quite another, and offensive, thing when businesses have sales and other income generating events in the name of celebrating Veterans Day. Veterans do not serve their country — some sacrificing even their lives — so that merchants may profit from veterans’ service and sacrifice. Veterans Day is turning from a day of gratitude to a day of greed.
