Sexual Assault Victim Education Inc. (SAVE) has received a $4,760 grant from The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County.

SAVE was among 27 local recipients, with a grand total of $121,750 dispersed in grants.

The grant will be used to purchase “Talking About Touching” personal safety curriculum to fulfill requests from local Spanish-speaking child-care providers, according to a news release. Approximately 250 children and their families will benefit from the curriculum, according to the release.

The grant will also allow the nonprofit to work with additional preschool and child-care programs in the area, increasing its total from 62 to 77.
