Introduction of an ordinance updating the building code to fit with state standards; amend ordinance to ban use of fire lanterns in city; public hearing on exempting Eco Rotary from some expenses incurred by recycling food with the South County Sanitary Service; annual treasury report.

Atascadero Planning Commission. Meets Tuesday.
7 p.m. 461-5000. Permit to build a 990-square-foot structure at 7600 Portola Road.

Atascadero Unified School District Board of Trustees. Meets Tuesday. 7 p.m. 462-4200. Contract with Atascadero District Teachers Association; update on facility improvement projects; assessed value of district properties.

Paso Robles City Council. Meets Tuesday. 7:30 p.m.
237-3888. Decide which applications from local organizations should be considered for annual federal grant money; agreement with Pacific Waste Services Inc. for the operation of the Paso Robles Landfill; consider using a state grant to refresh pavement striping and markings; maintenance and security concerns with the city’s River Trail.

Pismo Beach City Council. Meets Tuesday. 4 p.m. 773-7003. Workshop on costs, issues and opportunities of accepting the Chapman Estate; consider two fiscal year reports, a final report for the end of the most recent fiscal year and the first three months of the current fiscal year.

San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees. Meets Tuesday. 6 p.m. 549-1202. Approve $2.9 million in additional 2013-14 budget expenditures on summer school, special education buses, post-retirement benefits, furniture/equipment and elementary school Wi-Fi; update on math programs for accelerated students.
 
San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors. Meets Tuesday. 9 a.m. 781-5450. Authorize a series of actions to expand air service at the county’s regional airport to include a flight to Denver; approve the third phase of development of a terminal at the airport; discuss storage of spent fuel at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant; discuss implementation of a county whistle-blower hotline; hear an appeal of improvement to the county’s park at Pirates Cove.

San Luis Obispo City Council. Meets Tuesday. 6 p.m. 781-7100. Annual public hearing for the tourism business improvement district; 2013 bicycle transportation plan; the council will provide input on the approach to conducing a compensation study.

Templeton Community Services District. Meets Tuesday. 7 p.m. 434-4900. Presentation on the Paso Robles Gateway Project, a proposed annexation with the city of Paso Robles for hotels and vineyards near Theatre Drive between Paso Robles and Templeton.

San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees. Meets Tuesday. 5 p.m. closed session, 6 p.m. open session. 549-1202. TEACh Foundation fall grant awards; budget discussion and funding request for Common Core; Accelerated Learning Committee recommendations; discussion of proposed Mathematics Progression; award RFP for Facilities Master Plan; endorsement of Children’s Bill of Rights.

San Luis Obispo County Community College District Board of Trustees. Meets Wednesday. 4 p.m. 546-3100. Strategic planning for accreditation issues; 50th anniversary activities; district planning and budget development ideas; update on facilities master plan.
