Free flu shots will be given to Coast Unified School District students and their family members from 2 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Cambria Grammar School gym at 3223 Main St.

The nasal-spray immunization Flumist will be available for healthy people ages 2 to 49 who meet medical requirements, including not being pregnant or allergic to eggs. Patients who take aspirin or have certain medical conditions also should not use Flumist.

The vaccinations are provided by the county.

A parent or guardian must sign a permission slip if the person immunized is younger than 18 years old. Those getting shots are asked to bring their immunization records.
