Coast Union volleyball team finishes strong in league play

Following their 3-0 (25-18, 25-5, 25-16) win over Maricopa on Tuesday, Oct. 29, the 8-2 Lady Broncos varsity volleyball team has won six Coast Valley League matches in a row. Itzel Saavedra and Eleri Perryman had five kills each. Perryman also contributed four aces.

The last regular season home match for Coast Union is Friday, Nov. 1, against Valley Christian (5-4 in league). The varsity plays at 5 p.m. and the JV team takes the floor at 4 p.m.

Following that match, the Lady Broncos play their final regular season league game at Cuyama Valley (3-6 in Coast Valley League competition) on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Then it is a matter of waiting to see what playoff opportunities await the team.
