Rash of graffiti reported in Morro Bay

jhickey@thetribunenews.comOctober 29, 2013

Businesses, homes and vehicles across Morro Bay have been tagged with graffiti 24 times in less than three weeks, prompting the Morro Bay Police Department to solicit help from the community in finding whoever is responsible.

Most of the graffiti is similar — containing the letters “JM” and a crown insignia—which has led investigators to believe that the same suspect or suspects are responsible, according to a recent news release.

Officers believe that the graffiti is not gang related and is most likely juvenile activity, the release said.

Morro Bay police are asking property owners to call 772-6225 immediately after discovering graffiti, and before removing it.
