Unaffordable care

Avila BeachOctober 29, 2013

I recently discontinued my medical insurance with Blue Cross, thinking that I would be signing up for more affordable care once the government website opened. To my dismay, when I called the 800 number, I was told my premiums would be increasing from $230 a month to more than $700 a month. I was stunned and questioned the representative on the phone that surely this couldn’t be considered affordable care? She told me if I had a complaint to log on to the website and voice my complaint.

I think our government is missing the point when they are telling us that this is affordable care. Are they serious? Now, I will have to wait until Medicare kicks in, because I certainly can’t afford “affordable care.”
