A huge thanks to all who were able to attend the Better Together Luncheon on Oct. 16. We had approximately 90 in attendance. Our hour together was extremely productive and encouraging. There was a gratifying expressed interest in being on the Community Helping Hands steering committee for a project which will take place on the last Saturday of April 2014.
Along with one big project composed of 1,000-plus volunteers, there was a great deal of interest expressed in also assisting for ongoing/recurring needs. It was suggested there be a clearing house to identify and process volunteers for these recurring needs.
It was wonderful to come together, enjoy a delicious lunch, support each other, share ideas and go away knowing we will have opportunities to be working together for the good of our community.
We are so grateful for your participation and your service to our community.
