Paso Robles High boys runners win Mt. SAC Division 3 title

The Paso Robles High boys cross country team took first place out of 19 teams in the Division 3 sub-sweepstakes Friday with a score of 56 at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational in Walnut.

Ethan Serpa led the Bearcats with a sixth-place finish and a time of 15 minutes, 58 seconds on the 3-mile course. Teammate Zachary Chamberlain was eighth in 15:59.

The San Luis Obispo boys team placed 15th out of 22 teams in the Division 3 sweepstakes race. William Ernst was sixth in 15:19.

The Atascadero boys team took 17th out of 24 in the Division 3 race, led by Travis Hallett in 21st place at 17:16.

Rogelio Flores placed 17th in 17:13 to lead Nipomo to ninth place out of 27 boys teams in the Division 4 race.

Mission Prep finished 10th out of 24 teams in the boys Division 5 race. Jack Mooney led the Royals in 36th place in 18:52.

The Paso Robles girls team finished third in a field of 15 teams in the Division 3 sub-sweepstakes. Ashley Davis took third place in 19:01 and Annie Meeder was 13th in 19:51.

Atascadero girls ran in the same race and took 11th place. Hannah Livengood placed 53rd in 21:39.

San Luis Obispo was 12th in the Division 3 sweepstakes. Kelsey Harper took 17th place in 18:51.

Templeton’s girls placed ninth in the Division 4 sweepstakes, as Veronica Russell finished 14th in 19:09.

Nipomo’s girls captured second place in the Division 4 sub-sweepstakes. Kyra Meko won the race in 18:43. Gracie Albano was third in 18:52, and Taylor Witcher was seventh in 20:22.

The Mission Prep girls finished fourth out of 16 teams in the Division 5 race. Jacqueline San Jule was 13th in 21:39.
