Once when I was in Switzerland, a bank clerk was curt when we went in to cash travelers checks. As we left, I remarked How can anyone be in a bad mood when they live in such a beautiful place?
Morro Bay is as lovely as Switzerland when the sun is shining on the bay as the sandspit beckons.
When we were looking for a house five years ago, we did not look in Los Osos because of the wastewater treatment controversy. So here we are in Morro Bay, with a dispute pitting neighbor against neighbor.
Would it be too much to ask that everyone pause, take a deep breath, look around and try to work courteously with each other to find a reasonable solution? The dispute is expensive. And any solution will only get more expensive over time.
From what I can tell, Mayor Jamie Irons has always been prepared to work with all sides to find a solution to the wastewater treatment plant update. I dont understand why anyone who cares about where we live would be trying to make Morro Bay ugly.
