San Diego State senior outside linebacker and former Atascadero High standout Nick Tenhaeff was one of six San Diego State players to receive midseason recognition from Phil Steele’s College Football Magazine last week.

Tenhaeff and safety Nat Berhe were the lone Aztecs to be named to the magazine’s midseason All-Mountain West defensive first team. Tenhaeff was named The Tribune County Player of the Year in 2008.
