Arroyo Grande football team shuts out Pioneer Valley

Eagles dominate, move to 2-1 in PAC 7 with 45-0 road win over Panthers

The visiting Arroyo Grande High football team shut out Pioneer Valley 45-0 on Friday night. 

Quarterback Mikey Gutierrez threw three touchdown passes for the Eagles (5-2, 2-1 PAC 7), one of them a 42-yard strike to Sean St. Denis. 

Joe De La Rosa led Arroyo Grande’s rushing attack with two touchdowns, one for 3 yards and one for 1 yard, and kicker Cole Ramey made a 42-yard field goal. 

On defense, linebacker Grant Alton had three tackles for loss and one sack for the Eagles.

Arroyo Grande’s Tyler Auerbach intercepted a Pioneer Valley (2-5, 0-3) pass and returned it for a touchdown.
