Cal Poly volleyball team falls at home to UC Davis

Aggies roll to 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19 win; Mustangs drop to 2-3 in Big West

The Cal Poly volleyball team lost at home to UC Davis in four sets Friday night.

Kaylin Squyres had 16 kills and 13 digs for UC Davis, which won 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Hannah Schleis had a match-high 18 kills for the Mustangs (8-10, 2-3 Big West Conference). Megan McConnell had 12 kills and 16 digs, and Taylor Gruenewald had 13 kills.

Cal Poly fell to seventh in the Big West while the Aggies (10-8, 3-3) moved into a tie for fourth place.

Cal Poly was within 22-21 in the first set before an attack error, a service error and a kill by UC Davis clinched the set.
