Cuesta Roundup: Cuesta men's water polo team moves to 3-0 in conference

Lukas Lastra scored four goals Wednesday, and Max Draga had three to lead the Cuesta College men’s water polo team to an 11-8 Western State Conference win over L.A. Valley at home.

Georan Meendering added two goals for Cuesta (13-7, 3-0), and Brady Moore had 10 saves.

The Cougars, who host their own tournament Friday and Saturday, are ranked fifth in the state.

Cuesta falls in women’s water polo

L.A. Valley jumped out to an 8-2 halftime lead and went on to a 13-4 women’s water polo win at Cuesta.

Rachel Gruetzmacher had three goals for Cuesta (17-6, 1-2 Western State Conference), and America Hall added a goal.
